Yeah, picked it up yesterday. 280 miles one way with my wife and the dogs. 280 miles back with her in the lead(wanted her infront so I could scrub speed, change gears, and accelerate every now and again to change road/engine speed.

I had been talking to Town & Country Toyota (Scion) in Charlotte for a bit, I think they have Whiteout and Asphalt coming in (not sure on tranny), if not in by now there. They called me last afternoon asking if I was interested but I already got my FR-S!

I got my Firestorm MT from Toyota West in Statesville NC. It's a little trek up I-77 but totally worth it. Those guys are great (race fans, good relation with our race shop here) and sell at MSRP. You can usually talk them out of the $999 Southeast dealer package that includes nitrogen, detailing, etc. They will give it to you still, just say you don't want it and the manager there will just give it to you for free.

Ask for Russell at Toyota West, he's more than willing to help you out and trade dealer inventories so you can get the color you want. I got mine after he traded for someone else's color but the deal fell through, so I swooped in! Their parts department and service bays are all open, you can just wander around the shop if you'd like. The owner of the dealership is there often so you can always talk to someone if you have an issue. If you go there just tell em' I sent ya (Erik)! (Yes, they will gladly remove the dealer sticker on the car before detailing it for you!) They also give fair value on your trades and can be talked into a little more.
