Will this impact on cooling efficiency on rear diff and brakes?

We will need a list of exhaust it will fit. Seems pretty obvious it won't fit the stock midpipe/axle back, or any exhaust that uses the midpipe. Looks like it's made for exhausts that use the center midpipe area similar to Perrin and Q300. I'm not buying another diffuser, nor can I recommend one to anyone unless I know they fit certain exhausts as the last thing someone wants to do is ship back his diffuser or cut his diffuser up to make it fit his exhaust.

Working on this currently.

No, it should not impact cooling on the rear diff much, if any. The area right in front of the diff is completely open. If you're worried about it though, the rear diffuser works without the front covers. The front covers just aid in feeding the diffuser clean air which increases downforce and reduces drag further.

Because of the rear wheel deflectors, it may impact cooling on the rear brakes, but rear brakes generally do not get too hot. FT-86 SpeedFactory is at Global Time Attack this weekend and will be able to shed more light on if this is an issue or not, but I doubt it will be.

We have already spoken with FT-86 SpeedFactory on this. He is working on confirming as many exhausts as he can. We of course will work with customers on any fitment issues and both FT-86 SpeedFactory and Velox fully stand behind the products we offer. We will update the thread as exhausts are tested and proven to fit.

to all those who ask about additional rear spats, it can easily be slightly modified to fit these types of diffusers. i dont have this exact one, but my driveway labs diffuser looks almost the same width when looking at that underside picture. i notched my rear spats to make it fit and now they both fit snug.

Pictures I just snapped. Exhaust is custom so there really isn't any comparison as far as outlet location. Diameter is 3.5" if that helps any.

Also, top photo you'll notice the trailing edge changed slightly. We had more room then initially anticipated so we carried the trailing edge further up by the exhaust outlets. We believe this gives it a more finished look and is what production will look like.

Thanks,
Eric

Holy shit. That's gorgeous and stylish. If that thing fits the TRD bumper with little or no modding then I'm beyond sold.

I NEEEEEED IT.

Will there be an alternative version with shorter strakes that don't stick out? (For better daily driver use)

The diffuser looks awesome but it almost looks like you would impale your shins when loading the trunk. How far beyond the rear bumper do the strakes extend? Is there anyway you guys could take a photo that shows how far the strakes extend? Either top down or from the side would show it well. If they do extend beyond the bumper, I'd like to second a request for a version with shorter strakes.

It's not as bad as it looks. I just spent the evening over with Eric and was constantly walking around his car that he uses for prototyping and I never once bumped it nor considered if it would be an issue. I more-so just had the question of "how much" immediately. lol

If I manage to stop by to drop some stuff off I'll pester to get a pic.

The product page at FT86SpeedFactory's website already has a fairly extensive lists of exhausts that have both confirmed fitment with the diffuser, and that are confirmed won't fit, so I believe in that regard they are doing a good job trying to collect as much information, and data as is possible in order to help people who are interested in this product.

Are you planning on selling that center exit tip that fits in the reverse light cutout as well? I've always hated that light and that tip looks really good in its place, and since I have the Diode Dynamics tail as turn kit its just a eyesore for me now.

Yes we will. Just finished testing at Road Atlanta with it. Couple minor tweaks and she is ready.

I'm very interested in this product, and would definitely appreciate seeing more images of the installed piece whenever you guys have it finalized, or get the chance to.
