Sadly, the Lotus is a non-starter for me, as is the Miata, the C8, and the Cayman. Of all the sports/sporty cars on the market the BRZ is the only one I've found that comes close to fitting me. The others are designed around micro-drivers. I realize how normal distributions work and I can tell you that height is one of the attributes where being over two standard deviations from the mean has its drawbacks when it comes to cars.

I think you’d be surprised mate. There is WAAAY more room for me inside the Evora cabin than there is in the 86. Tonnes more headroom and the seat offers even more leg room. Assuming the Emira is similar (on basically the same chassis), I’d imagine there would be enough space, at least as much or more than a BRZ.

The Toyota V6 was a huge surprise for me too. It really screams to redline, yet has a lovely warble down low. It’s a good unit

During the conversation I had with the dealer when I left my deposit, the representative told me the headroom of this car will be significantly higher than the Evora and should fit a 6’3-6’4 reasonably.

Apart from that several of the people at Goodwood who were lucky enough to pop in and out say it was the easiest Lotus they’ve ever went into haha.

Uh, Porsche? Feels equally spacious as my old FRS. I expect the Emira with its lower seat has equal headroom to a Porsche.

How tall are you?! Also beyond overall height, I realize some of it has to do with proportions (legs:torso). I had tons of headroom in my Cayman, but wished I had 1-2 more inches of legroom available. BRZ offered LOTS of legroom for me, def loved that about mine.

I sat in an Elise last month and it had plenty of legroom and headroom for me.

I'm 6'6". Some cars I can squeeze in enough to probably drive (maybe a Cayman) others (e.g. Miatas) are so tight I would be hard pressed to manipulate the controls. What gets me most is my 36+" inseam. The Cayman could work except for that. The only Lotus I ever tried was, I think, an early Exige. I know how a football would feel trying to fit into a beer can.

To be honest though, a few quibbles aside, I'm quite happy with the BRZ.

I wear 34" inseam, and in a Cayman the seat can go back a few more inches with ample knee-to-wheel clearance.

If I was 6'6" I don't think I'd fit in anything (mentioned above) except the BRZ. That sucks man.

I’m just happy I fit in the BRZ. Discovering this car was liberating. Lol

Really. I’ve tried several and with seat all the way back they just didn’t work.

Did anyone actually run it up the hill? I haven't seen anything on how the car drives yet.

Shmee did a ride along with Jenson Button. Although not sure we can totally consider his thoughts due to his endorsement with Lotus.

Wife will finally let me get a Lotus 2022.

I'm curious if I should let the Emira settle in a bit and see how that affects the used Evoras before pulling the trigger on purchasing. However, it seems the used Lotus market is impervious to anything that would affect the prices. rain or shine, Elise are $30k, Exige and 2017+ Evora are ~$70k.
