Those who use Play Music, can you store your music files on an SD card?

I would think so, but I'm not 100% sure. I know you can download them on a PC and then do whatever with them.

Yeah, I use Play Music on my PCs but saving to SD on a mobile device was not always available. I think it may require kitkat.

I know pretty much everyone was looking to make the internal partition larger for apps. I've been playing around with the update files and there is a pretty simple way to make the partition larger. I also doubled some of the other partitions even though it probably does nothing.

This requires you to update your unit.
In the update folder go to "update\bin", there is a file called "set_partition". Open it up in a text editor. All of the sizes are listed in Hex. Just change it to decimal and you will get the actual size. "# userdata partition" is where you will change the size of the partition where your apps are installed. For example I used 0xFFC00000 to get the result in the picture.

I suggest you make sure that you don't change the size to larger than the total available space as I have no idea what would happen.

If you don't want to mess with it, below is the download link for mine which will make it like the picture. Just replace the "set_partition" in "update\bin" with the one from the link. Enjoy.

Dont forget to save your Viper profile and copy it to external SD (it saves on internal which gets wiped) so you don't have to do it from scratch

Ha, you're right they are releasing a version with double the size (1.5gb), but I'll probably still mod it for more space now that we know how. I'm really excited that they listened to me and enabled volume memory! I'll get them to send me the Carhome disabled version and then this thing will pretty much be perfect

Some other interesting things I have discovered are that if you increase the font size using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ne.bfont&hl=en
I find it much easier to read the text in a lot of apps, particularly Pandora, which was near impossible to read on the road with the small font, this increases all the fonts in Pandora and make it much better while driving.

This app I just discovered I now find invaluable, if you've ever been like me and wish you could see what song was playing from pandora or your poweramp queue while in your maps/navigation app like Waze without switching apps, then wonder no more! Flippr allows you to slide over any widget overlayed on top of any app, so not only can you view Pandora over waze, you can control it and any other widget you might find useful! https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...i.flippr&hl=en

Finally, I found a good Poweramp skin that actually is easier to see and control for our unit, compared to most of the other skins. Try it out for yourself if you want a better Poweramp experience, it's about the closest thing I've found to a car-friendly poweramp skin. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...skins.aluwhite

Or Miami traffic during school time. Just installed and restoring apps now. I love apex launcher but its just too damned slow. Going to try out ADW EX. Haven't used that once since my gingerbread days....heard it's faster. Haven't had much luck with sleep after disabling car home. Seems to be luck of the draw.
