Anyone know how accurate the HP reading is? I put in the gross weight (car with fluids) plus 200 lbs to account for me and junk. Says I'm putting down 197hp at 6900 rpm. Seems a bit high for an untuned car..

It's obd app reporting by some unknown calculations readings. Not something actually measured at crank or wheels as on dyno. So neither. Just "some reading" i wouldn't care about unlike eg. oil/water temps and so on ..

How accurate is WHP ??? I'd be stunned if it gave an accurate reading. I have an iPhone and I'm using dash command which was about 15 bucks. It has saved my life a lot using it to reset my codes and reading live data. The horsepower number on dash command seems to be almost on point.. but you'd never really know

Has anyone ever tried to create their own ethanol gauge? Theoretically it should be possible right? Since most of us are using the rear O2 sensor for our flex fuel gauge input to the ecu. I can see the O2 sensor voltage, but I think it uses frequency and not just a standard voltage to relay ethanol level? Just wondering if anyone else has played with this. My delicious app is not very reliable stability wise and it would be awesome to get this integrated into my torque pro gauges!

Apologize if someone have already mentioned it, but has there been a work around with shutting off the car with Torque on will cause the CEL U0073 come on? I have been hesitant to use the app on the track in case of a spin off or forgetting to quit the app after pitting the car.

Ya i did it at the gym so many times, I just bought gauges. It really pisses me off too because I used my old Samsung S4 for the Torque app.

I am interested in this as well. Has anyone been getting issues lately?

It's possible I missed it, but I did look through this thread just about completely. So is there a way of getting the oil temp PID to read in Fahrenheit? I already had Torque set to display things in °F, but the way the PID is detailed in this thread is for display in Celsius, so that's what gets displayed for that one gauge.

Have you tried to change the unit type and equation part in Torque?

From post #2:
Unit type: C
Equation: AC-40 (no space between A and C; "AC" is the location within the response)

Try:
Unit type: F
Equation: (AC-40)×1.8+32

You may also need to convert the Min and Max from C to F as well.

I did try that, but I think I may have jacked up the parentheses when I did. Thanks.

Also, try the * instead of the x for multiplication.
