Anyone in CA, TX, or southwest with a vin assigned???
So just decided to start a California vin assignment topic.
So here is what I have assumed. A ship, Seijin, docked into Richmond, CA from Yokohama on 5/8 at around 8pm (my time might be off). It left that port to go to Oakland in the afternoon on 5/9. Subaru main California port is in Richmond, so let's put the offloading date at 5/9 when it left. The first shipment to vin assignment info to customers was 5 days (or so I think it was). These 5 days do include a weekend, but ports don't sleep, so weekends don't matter that much. Using same lead time, that should bring vin assignments to California allocated BRZs to Monday 5/14. I'm going to attempt to go ask SoA Friday though. So this thread is mostly for us CA people to signal all of us to call in Friday and early next week. Let's try not to flood this thread until some one in California gets an actual vin. Hopefully one of us gets a vin from this boat. PS- to anyone in the southwest, including Texas, you guys cars will be on the same boat Last edited by hapa_kcm; 05-10-2012 at 09:03 AM. |

This probably should go in the Regional forum under the California subforum.

There are already at least two threads dedicated to vins/etas. One of which already has a list of everyone with said information.

Im # 2 the guy ahead of me is supposed to have his delivered today or tomorrow dealer said they were going to call me so i could come and take a look at the car same configuration as mine, if he backs out its mine though i doubt it. I have no clue how many cars but i know for sure there are around 5 people after me.

Just got off the phone with my dealer, he said the first car got delayed and wont be here until next week, the second car which is mine will be here sometime in june he has no clue what day though and he has no vin for me yet
The wait is killing me, i seriously have thought about kidnaping the guy in front of me and getting his car since its the same configuration lol damn contest winners.

The fact that a BRZ will be in a Texas customer's hands next week is news to me.
