I concur. Those text messages aren't going to read themselves.

Reading through this thread makes me glad I went with an AVO turbo kit. I don't have to worry about under hood heat because the engineers and designers have kept the heat where it's supposed to be (under the motor not all around it). Vented hood? No thanks, no need.

Being in the pacific northwet you probably only drive in rain anyway so probably right, don't need a vented hood

We had 81 straight days without a raindrop this summer, but don't tell anyone.

Has anyone seen any actual benefit of a vented hood on our cars?

When I get my car back I'm goig to log temps with stock hood then throw on vented hood see what we get..I don't have oil coolee or radiator upgrade so we will see how well it works. Might end up trading hood for oil cooler in the end

Do you monitor your temperatures and especially IAT? The AVO kit does add a LOT of heat and a vented hood would do a great job of reducing the heat soak that turbo cars have when they are stationary.

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on Seibon products don't have a local distributor so it's risky option to me. Don't really want to cut my hood up though!

No oil cooler, stock radiator, no heat issues even during autocross. Might be different if I lived in Miami.

That is a different result than most of us. I saw very high oil temps and even some moderate heat soak when my car was NA.

Doesn't matter if you are high or low mount, make sure to watch their IAT when the car is fully warmed & stationary and oil temps when driving hard or tracking.

Torque app and a bluetooth obd2 dongle are totally worth it.
