WhoTF is ERTFA, even their website or FB doesn't say what the acronym means.

Wish someone had put this up earlier, I would have been there, 20 minute drive away. (But of course nobody knew in advance this would be there I guess so...)

I have no idea what they're doing.
Facebook page only says something like "keep an eye out for this car, you never know where it'll be next"

Your odds of seeing one FR-S randomly in the GTA are less than that of being hit by lightening. Scion should do itself a marketing favour and instead of just getting everyone pissed off, give a few hour's notice about where they will be on any given night.

That's true.

But then you wouldn't get the looks of surprise and delight like we saw at Ertefa as a first time sighting!

So what? Is this being done to make Scion staff and a few semi-random people feel good, or to market the car? First principle of marketing -- make sure your marketing efforts reach the desired audience - primarily folks who are seriously considering buying it (or are highly likely to do so). Not letting us know where they will have it is a big FAIL.

Are they going to slam it and stance it out so it fits in with the rest of the cars at those meets?

Totally eh. They must not care about those who are seriously considering buying or are highly likely to do so and are just trying to hype it to a few hundred semi-random people in the car-passionate scene of ertefa. Scion marketing should hire you. Teach em the first principle of marketing.
