You need to use the SWCs from a 2012+ Impreza, then connect them to unused pins on the factory head unit.

Here's some of my somewhat unique mods I did a while back. Nothing crazy but just haven't really seen it done on the twins yet.

Dremmeled out the fog light housings to create "airflow" for an oil cooler I'm eventually installing.

AMS (Evo X) small battery kit I swapped over from the evo I traded in.

Smoked the reverse lights. A little hard to tell unless you see a non-tinted back to back.

Custom aluminum sideskirt guards I made.

Gauges in place of factory head until. You can fit a short head unit perfectly into the cubby space below if you relocate the USB thing to the glovebox.

DarkPirate I really like what you did. Is that specific headunit shorter than most single din? I would love to replace the main area with gauges or a tablet that can read off the OBDII port. 99% of the time im bluetoothing music off my phone so I don't need a fancy headunit

It is just under half length of a normal headunit. It doesn't have a CD player, which is why it's so short and can fit. There's a couple things back there that prevent you from fitting a full length head unit

Looks nice, why did you take it off? Do you have any other angles of it? I have the OEM diffuser installed so I'm not looking to add something like that, but would be interested to see some different angles.

I took them off, because I wanted to change the look of the car. I've had mine for 6.5 years now.

What my car looks like now. new tips, polished my stock exhaust, new stickers, painted tail lights.

Here's my custom-made switch panel for control of aftermarket accessories, and also the custom fuse/relay block I made that those switches control.
