Does anyone have experience running this kit with the 3071r 0.63 on 93 pump? I was planning on the GTX2867r, but have access to a 3071r for free...

The motor is not built. I will be doing fuel upgrades and a 3" exhaust, but the Gt30 seems like it could be lag-city with poor transient response on pump gas.

There are mixed opinions on the forum about using a larger turbo on this motor.

Should I go with the free big turbo, or shell out for the gtx?

My kit will be in tomorrow minus couple ceramic coated parts. My FBM kit build is FBM Premium Kit
GTX3076R
1000cc Injectors
FBM Radiator
FBM Shroud w/ (2) Spal Fans
FBM 3 inch Exhaust
FBM Catch Can and Battery Bracket
FBM 270 LPH Pump
FBM Radiator Hoses (Red)
FBM Innercooler
FBM Oil Cooler
I should have everything installed soon, just waiting on CF hood and wheels. Lj @FullBlown I can't think you enough for all the time you spent helping me decide what the best build would be for me ! Can't wait to start building and have all the pics taken.

I do love me some 6262.

Im gonna have to get my water injection on. DSM has always had decent luck with Devils own.

The GT30 is a badass turbo. Will you need more than 450-470hp? You obviously cannot beat the response of the GTX2867R with a 30r. My preference on pump gas and a stock motor would be a Gtx28.

That new GTX4088r does look temping doesn't it? The GT4088r was my favorite turbo for many years.

This morning, the car began to miss in a bigger way under no/low load from just warmed up for 15 minutes and then cleaned up and ran smooth.

I took the other shop guy for a ride and he confirmed what i was hearing. The second it goes to boost/meth it begins to "rumble" and sound like it has an UEL header, then smooths out a few seconds later. It continues to rumble though for a bit even on decel and idle and blipping the throttle, then cleans up until the next boost incident.

I'm thinking maybe the plug gap is too great on one plug, or a weak coil maybe.

i had to gap my plugs down a bit to get rid of a miss under boost.

No CELs? If not, then the tune would be my guess. The car will let you know if there is something wrong with the coils or a misfire.

The freaking NGK part finder still doesn't even list our cars. I only closed my gaps a little when I reinstalled my spark plugs. Like .001 under the minimium OEM spec.

No CELs, it's running the Hydra standalone, which apparently doesn't trigger any codes (as I've been told, not 1000% sure about that).
