Patience is not my thing... so I went ahead and just put my faith in Shiv and loaded up the v4.01 E85 Stg 2+ tune.
The checksum error is just like in the old tune, no big deal- but the message is a little different this time. Just like before, I loaded up the new tune file and edited it (I updated the ECU Definition file in ROM Raider first) just like before. It all look identical to me, a non-tuner type of guy. Opened up the new OFM after updating, it all looks identical to me. I hooked it up to my PC and (after the update) cleared up some old files and replaced with the new ones. Same as ever. Hooked it up to the car and went through the same steps as before and loaded up the new tune file that I edited (changed FFS and LC and idle RPM). Same as before. The only thing that has really changed are that everything has to be updated and the tunes are new. The new Stg 2+ E85 tune sounds great! No more cold start racket (my neighbors thank you, @shiv). The car has more pops and burbles than before (yess) FFS and LC worked fine. The car sounds different in general too. In the middle RPMs I hear some of that same sound I used to hear on the Stg 2 93 EL tune, with the more aggressive timing. Hopefully that means the erstwhile dip turns into a hill Everything sounds and feels great! Thank You Open Flash Performance, @shiv as well as @steve99 and @Wayno (I know you guys were all involved in this!) |

I'm looking at changes between the v2 b01d maps and the new v4 a01I based maps and it looks like some changes were made but others didn't make it into the AT maps. The rev limit was increased but the timing reduction in Base Timing B wasn't setup so it doesn't look like the AT maps have the soft rev limit setup but the rev limit was increased.
I'm wondering if its worth moving to the v4 tune and cherry picking changes from my v2 tune for some of the changes i've made previously or if i should just stick with my v2 tune that works. |

On the manual map it is. On the auto it just looks like an increased rev limiter.

@guybo How much of a difference to the cold start? I'm only running a high-flow cat in the whole line, so my cold starts are obnoxious. Is it completely gone?

Since I see they put Ignition timing after start at 0 instead of the -19 we have in the original k00G tune in Europe, yes it is completely gone
0 of timing is very quiet start |

Is there any downside to the cold start being disabled? From my understanding it was just to heat up the cats for emissions reasons, right?

no downside at all
anyway 0 of timing is still a reduced timing setting, cause when the warm-up phase finishes, the normal timings are around 10 it's just not loud to hear, it has only a subtle drone a-like bark, you could modify and put -4/-9 (the more negative being louder) if you want to hear that sound a bit, but not too much.. or make it more negative untill say 20°C of coolant temperature and at >30° make it quiet the high stock idle setting contributes also to the loudness, this tunes have it reduced |

manuals based on A01G roms this is for 2012-16 cars. Some tables you will need to go to degbug level to alter. you could use a wayno A10I def but you would need to alter it when editing if you see weird values or table axis look weird stop def is wrong or mismatched |
