I received this email from them an hour ago saying: "Harrop TVS1320 Supercharger Australian Emissions Approved". (edit: added link)

I wouldn't be surprised if they also have 'CARB' approval

Copy and paste of email below:
Quote:
AUSTRALIAN EMISSIONS APPROVED - IM240 DRIVE CYCLE
Harrop Engineering is excited to announce that our market leading TVS1320 Supercharger Kit for Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ platform has passed IM240 drive cycle emission's test, and therefore now has certification for both manual and automatic transmission variants. This is an achievement we are extremely proud of at Harrop and represents our commitment to technical excellence in automotive performance in both design & manufacturing.

Customers are loving the performance gains of more than 50% with a huge power increase of 65Kw and 93Nm of torque over standard, transforming the driving experience to create a performance package comparable to many higher price point sports cars.

Also noticed they've updated the pricing for the standalone kit and kit including ecutek tune:

The price seems to fluctuate with the $AUD and $USD exchange rate so is subject to change.

For those too lazy to click the kit pricing is in $AUD:
Tuner Kit (RRP) - $6985 incl GST
Complete Kit with EcuTek Calibration - $7975 incl GST

It would be interesting to see if the 10% GST (tax) is removed for purchases going overseas

The price on Harrop's mini site hasn't been updated yet. They really need to clean it up as they still have old prototype photos on display

Hi Guys,

Just want to clear up a few things for our US Customers.

Australia and USA have a nifty free trade agreement which means you don't pay any import taxes on products purchased that are manufactured here in Australia! #winning

The price in AUD less GST is $6350 and shipping is between $400 and $500 AUD depending where you're located.

At this stage we are looking to setup some strong relationships with a few companies who will be able to provide a level of support from a customer service perspective and liaise with us here at Harrop.

That said, if you want to deal directly with us, you can and many customer are.

I am running out of Castings for Harrop TVS1320 Kits, with a new batch looking to come through in a a month or so. This is not a bad situation, as this allows you all to save a little, or get your name on the back order list with a deposit or pay in full. Its up to you.

Our currency conversion rate at the moment is pretty good, so you can expect to pay around the $5200USD mark depending where you are.

At this stage, if you would like to deal with a local, i have been selling a few kits through Moto-East, and Mike and the guys are great to deal with. They are advertising kits for around $5295, and your then dealing with a state sider.

I'm happy to field any questions you might have, so please feel free to shoot me a PM or get in contact with Mike at Moto-East.

regards

Andrew.

It will be interesting to see what a supercharger like this can do with a good header/exhaust and e85. RacerX happens to make a catch can kit that goes really nicely with this slick package.

Hi Mate,

Our Track car is running the HKS Stroker Kit, ACE Headers and HKS Cat Back exhaust system, and combined with E85 we're making 282kw at the hubs.

Its a fantastic combination with the TVS1320 Supercharger Kit, and we're very proud with the consistency we're getting with the kit all over the world.

Andrew.
