Are you not capable of reading the dyno charts in this thread?

Are any of you who put a deposit/preorder down for the March shipment still waiting for their kit?

Compare the high rpms of the two cars and factor in weight.

Even though your STi has huge torque in the low end, it falls off drastically. This matters because in high performance driving you are never in the low rpms. Whatever that driving may be. If your torque levels are similar in the higher rpms (which it looks like it based on your HP number) then the FRS in a simplistic test will be faster due to its weight advantage.

Also a turbo that small that gets exhausted in the higher RPMs will be blowing so much hot air into the motor. This over time (like a few laps) can reduce power. Heat soak is a concern.

If you know you can always be running on e85 - always - a 12psi actuator would probably be the way to go. I would personally suggest a 9psi actuator, so that if/when you need to run on pump gas, you can dial it back down to the safe range (9~10psi).

With the 9psi, you can run it up to 18psi with a good boost solenoid, which would allow you to hit your power goals.

Is there room for the avo kits to upgrade the turbo? Say I wanted to put a gtx2867r or maybe a precision turbo on later on??

So this kit is designed to work with the stock airbox but can it work with TRD air intake?

No, it won't work with the TRD intake, not without some sort of modifications. The TRD intake outlet points straight back towards the intake manifold, instead of towards the side where our inlet is.

I guess I'll have to hang on to the stock one then for when I eventually get this kit.
