@Ardi, better to finalize everything before having a tune so that you dont have to get a retune if ever you install other mods to your BRZ.. but a lot would say that drop-in filters will do and just change the inlet tube.. i still went with the GReddy (Takeda) intake and eventually changed to Perrin's BigMAF intake.. for the Borla header, make sure you get the latest version since the first ones made are crappy and has a tendency to crack IIRC

@Boss B, if you're still looking for recommendations for ceramic, you can get in touch with Martin Tan of ATMT.. he's a fellow 86 owner and owns that detailing shop

for audio upgrade and reverse camera, visit Autokozmetix or Autoline.. they would definitely have those and can install it to your car

@yam86, there are some sellers who offer the GT86 emblem for around 2k pesos so roughly around $40? but they just sell this in limited quantities so you'll be lucky if you get to find somebody selling one by the time you get here

@Arbra, i think thats pretty much standard now, all units are indent order unfortunately

@pcuerpo Just recently had my BRZ tuned by Clifford Certeza using Speedlab's Dynapack dyno. Mods installed were Perrin's inlet hose and big MAF intake coupled with Tomei equal length headers. Got 178HP/154lbft. I want to keep the car NA so that might be it for my mods on increasing power. Do you guys think changing the entire exhaust will bring significant gains?

I bought the car used and previous owner changed the wheels to Vossen replicas. It looks good but I'm not really a fan of replicas so I'm planning to change it to either 57Xtreme or 57Transcend. I want a square setup and really really want the concavity of the 18x9.5s. I'm still on stock suspension and not planning to install coilovers anytime soon. Can I use my current tires (245/40) with 18x9.5s +39 or +40 and not have any clearance issues?

@Ardi, the usual concern when you have wide wheels up front is if it will hit the springs so putting a 9.5-wide wheels might be a problem when using stock suspension.. but you can use the 245 tires on 9.5-wide wheels if ever, might be a little stretched thou

catback exhausts (midpipe and muffler) usually dont have gains or very minimal (or even possible lose power in some cases, an example based on the forums is the blitz quad tip exhaust) but when you change the frontpipe (and overpipe if you're OC and want to change everything like me), there will be some gains

btw, nice choice on the Tomei header!

Thanks for all the input @pcuerpo. Anyone here in the group running a square setup of 9.5s on stock suspension? I've seen a couple of posts here in the forum saying that they were able to fit a 9.5 wheel up front. It'll help me a lot in deciding what wheels to get if someone can confirm this. Thanks guys!

EDIT: I've decided to go for a staggered set up of TE37SL 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. If on stock suspension, what's the widest tyre I can use? Autoplus advised me to use 235/40 and 265/35. Will these clear? Thanks guys!

Good Day Toyota 86 Philippines!

Need help...

I placed a reservation in one of the Toyota Center last April, they told me that the waiting period is about min 3months. Kept on following up but up to now, didn't receive clear status of my reservation, they told me that it could be max 1yr.

Anyone who new the status of supply here in the Philippines.

Thanks in advance.

@ride_gt86, which Toyota you went to? i've been hearing only about the 3 month waiting period but not 1 year.. try to go to a different dealer.. a friend who was buying a Fortuner waited for 3 months, he went to Toyota Alabang.. wherein a friend who works in Toyota BGC says that waiting time should only be around 1 month

@Ardi, i've had 2 staggered sets already and used 235/40/16 and 265/35/18 on both occasions, no issues even on lowering springs less than an inch.. a friend also on staggered sets decided to put 245/40/18 up front and 265/35/18 at the rear, no issues also

Placed reservation at Toyota Calamba. Will try your advice either in Alabang or Makati.

Thanks @pcuerpo for always replying to my questions. I'm sure glad forums like these exist. What tyres do you wrap your wheels with? I'm looking at Nitto Invos but Concept One doesn't have them in 235/40.

@Ardi, just trying to help out others.. this is where i started out learning things actually then most went to the FB groups and this thread quietly died down

regarding tires, my first set were Nitto NT05, great track tires compared to the Invo since they're mostly for street.. next set were Bridgestone RE002, quite bad for the track but good for daily.. my current set is GT Radial SX2.. very good track tires and daily since they're quiet and lasts long even if they have good grip.. and very cheap compared to Bridgestone and Nitto

the SX2 costs below 25k for a set of 235/40/16 and 265/35/18 while the NT05 and RE003 (better than RE002 based on feedback) will set you back close to 40k for a set.. performance and cost-wise, SX2 hands down since i change tires in a year hehe

Newbie here and want to share my 2017 Toyota 86 AT mods that I did.

At start, a friend lent his VDS front pipe and so excited to install for my first mods. For a week, I gradually felt the add'l power, a little louder and more aggressive than the stock, I ended up hooking the pipe permanently.

Just recently, dropped by at Autoline, was cursed to install Agency Power EL headers, same thing had happened, more power more aggressive more louder. However, I didn't like the way it sounds, I don't know how to describe but similar to a jeepney revving on a hill between 2000~4000RPM. Now I'm seeking help and thinking of how I can improve the sound. A friend told me to do tuning or change exhaust or still no idea....

Input is very much appreciated...

@ride_gt86, nice to know you finally got your unit sir!

this is still with the stock muffler? didnt expect it will be that noisy with the stock muffler even after changing the header and front pipe.. but usually what they do to improve the sound is to change the resonator in the midpipe.. you can try going to different exhaust fabricators if they can change the resonator of your stock muffler.. they have to modify it thou so if you have the extra budget, have a midpipe fabricated instead with a resonator that can further suppress the exhaust sound
