Bought another car... :P

So, this past weekend my brother and I flew to LA to pick up another car...

What car, you ask?

Well, for those of you that know me, I think you can guess it...

.
.
.
.
.
PSYCH!

I like Foxes, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy that one!

It's a 1993.5 NA 5 Speed with 200k+ on the clock.

Drives like an absolute champ! Previous owner has had it since '99 and has taken meticulous care of it.

It's a bit different from the previous Supras we've had here at the Guff household. Usually we get pretty original cars, with low-ish miles, and turbocharged, but this time we went pretty left field. This car is painted Lotus Racing Green, with a couple of non-original body pieces. It has an intake and exhaust, but that's about it.

After driving down the Pacific Coast Highway for a bit, we lived out a dream of ours by visiting Neptune's Net in a Supra!

It was just as awesome as we though it would be, with lots of gearheads, and plenty of cool cars in the parking lot...

We went in and ordered Tuna Sandwiches in homage of not only an iconic film, but, of course, the late, great Paul Walker.

Here's my brother, eating fries, and reflecting on how he doesn't take handouts from anybody, and earns his own every step of the way...

After lunch, we pulled the targa off and cruised the canyons...

And then we made the long trek back home...

Many, many miles later...

And that's all she wrote...

It was a fantastic journey! One that I would happily do again! California is just an awesome place, and I totally understand why enthusiasts choose to live there despite the shitty gas and mod-hating police.

You're right about that! It'll probably be done by this summer, assuming I can actually find time to work on it. I'm really close, just a few nitpicky things that I need to do before it's on the road...

Thanks man! Nothing yet! It might get boosted at some point, but for now it's staying as is.

Hahaha, no spiders! I wish it did though, I need all that JDM Cred.

And the car was originally bought here in Dallas way back in 93, so I guess you could say it's the Supra's homecoming...

That's one clean Supra. Especially with 200k.

Thanks! I definitely agree! We used to have a 1997 Jewel Green which is pretty similar and it looks just as stunning! And supercharging is not a bad idea... I've always wanted to do a proper NA build with some artsy headers and ITBs but the end rarely justifies the means in those builds...

I made a short video of the trip to LA! It's not particularly exciting, but you get to see the beautiful Los Angeles and some canyon driving.

Dude, we were actively looking for a Ferrari, but all we found were geriatric dudes in Porsche convertibles...
