The felt on the weather strip all ripped off the rubber and stuck to my window.
I scraped them off the window and saved them for my dealership to look at.

I've had the exact same problem, but nowhere near as bad. I hope this TSB completely replaces those strips.

Should be covered under your bumper-to-bumper warranty, if you still qualify for it.

I asked about this at my dealership but they told me they haven't received the replacement parts yet.

Any updates on the Subaru TSB or perhaps a link to the document? After the freeze in Tennessee last week I'm having issues now...

Maybe just white out the "Scions" and print in "Subaru"....??

OR, if Bubba down at the dealership, can't make the leap from Scion to Subaru ..... maybe you don't want him messen wich your car's windows .....

FYI, Subaru updated their version of this TSB with new part numbers as of 1/28/14.

Unfortunately, this appears to be a "safety" feature built in to the window indexing. There is a note about it in your owner's manual. However, with this fix, it looks like they reduced the distance the window drops, so it should seal better when it's frozen.

Anyone else get their weather stripping strip away?

It's almost the entire length of the seal and it'll suck the stripping in when it's wet or cold. The motor itself is fine.

Thanks, sounds like that's what I'll try. Probably a good test for a different dealer since mine sucks so bad to see how they take care of it.

That is one of the issues covered by the TSB.
