Have any fellow Ace Laguna 90 catback owners considered the Intec Japan Tail Lights with integrated reverse lights (to replace the stock reverse lights)?
https://translate.google.com.au/tran...ml&prev=search The best price I've come across is around $500 USD so they're a bit on the pricey end of town. Unfortunately there do not appear to be other brands making tail lights with integrated reverse lights for the 86/brz. I'm not really a fan of the Diode Dynamics 'Tail and Turn' tail light mods as the turning indicators are no longer amber. Where I'm from the Australian design rules require the turn indicators to be amber. Interestingly the rules allow reverse lights to be either white or amber, so I could as an alternative, have my stock indicator lights double as reverse lights (I wonder if the Diode Dynamics kit will allow me to do this?). Going back to the topic of reverse lights...
Is it in the realm of possibility to cut the center fog light out of the reverse light module to provide enough room for the exhaust tip to pass through while still retaining it's function? Assuming the above is possible, would some heat shield between the exhaust tip, and the reverse light, be enough to stop it from melting/failing from the heat? If the above is a no go then a simple standalone aftermarket or subaru reverse lights with compatible wiring/connector might be the easiest fix. I'm thinking of placing the standalone reverse light in the empty space next to the exhaust tip (assuming heat isn't an issue) or maybe to the right of the bumper close to the stock exhaust tip. Right now I'm having trouble finding standalone aftermarket/OEM reverse lights as a google search of 'subaru reverse light' is giving me results for replacement bulbs or reverse lights integrated with tail lights |

I am not affiliated with Diode Dynamics in any way but their solution is the cleanest on the market IMO and it isn't expensive either. It is also a super easy install for anyone to do (I'm in a wheelchair and I did it at night with inadequate lighting within 30 minutes). This is by no means showing off my wrenching prowess (which is minimal, at best), I only mention it for the ease of installation. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk |

I might just try running them right next to the exhaust and see how it goes. |

Highly unlikely it would pass a legal inspection though. Or a smaller bar where the license plate lights are. Wouldn't look very good though.

but what are the requirements exactly? Could you just get a led strip and run it above the diffuser across the rear of the car? That seems like it would be the easiest solution.

I believe the stock reverse lights may have reflectors built in which potentially is another requirement. Although this could be dealt with separately. Do you have any suggestions for led strips? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |
