I don't think your dealer was telling you the truth about a delivery for Friday the 6th. Which dealership did you buy your car from?

lol I was just kidding. He actually looked at me sad and wished for me the best. He did not even tell me a ballpark figure. He said it is just a test of patience and virtue and then all will be happy one day.

I also have not taken a vacation in 1.5 years.

This car is purchase swallowed up the vacation idea. Now I will be able to go on a long drive for a vacation... but now I won't be able to afford one! yay!

I bought it from Hasset Subaru on Long Island. They have a ford/lincoln and subaru all under one roof. I would have gone another just subaru place, but the business is quite old and they were the only ones who really were into the BRZ.

When you guys call the dealer do you call the actual salesperson you dealt with or just whoever picks up the phone?

I either directly call the salesperson I dealt with or I ask whoever answers to connect me to them.

The 2017 models gets worse gas mileage than the older cars. So now, you won't even be able to afford gas for the new car on a long drive. Sorry.
Oh, by the way, did they tell you, these cars won't run at all unless premium fuel is used.

i havent had a car in many years that did not exclusively use 91+ octane. I also never saw 91, only 93 is around the east coast, which is good.

It gets slightly worse miles per gallon, but it exceeds any normal sporty car from 10 years ago by quite a lot.

The salesman who I bought the car from emails me every couple weeks with updates. Lot more updates recently though.

That's pretty cool. Mine doesn't email me at all and he put his business contact email for the actual order too so I don't get emails from SoA.

Might try calling him tomorrow.

Mine doesn't contact me until I ask him for information, but he's usually pretty good about emailing me or calling me back within an hour of me trying to get in touch with him. Idk whats been up the last week or so, i think he may have gone on vacation

Yeah, that's definitely possible.

I actually haven't even been able to get in direct touch with my guy since ordering at the dealer. But I haven't tried email, just calling and talking to whoever answered there/SoA.

Well I have an actual VIN now, and my car is slated to be here by Feb. 2nd or maybe before. I had a possible date of around 18th of Feb. But, when we put our order in it was for the Limited w/PP car in either CWP (My 1st choice, wifes 2nd) or CBS (My 2nd choice, wifes 1st). Well, at the time CWP was listed first, but my salesguy (yes i always talked to the same guy, if you find a salesman who will work for you, stay with them) kept looking and a Black one was shown to be coming sooner. So we hopped over.

This will be our 4th damn BRZ. First one we got rid of to go to a Cayman, then we had our first kid. So back to a BRZ(white), it was wrecked in an icey 10 car pile up, not our fault. Then we got our 3rd one(black), tracked it hard as well as the others. Then driving home from an AX, i was 2 miles from my house, and an older man in an F150 shot across what he thought was a gap between trucks (guess where i was) and t t-boned me. I lived, car didnt.

So, we decided to wait for a PP car. Hopefully this one will survive a bit. But we love our BRZs. I usually track my S2000, but we both share time on the BRZ. This one will be more of a semi-DD for me and weekend toy for her. I've already got CSG getting me a list of parts together for some upgrades. The good thing about tracking 3 of these, is we already really know what we want to do to the car. Plus this is the funnest car to wrench on, so easy a caveman( or a millennial) could do it.

Still wanted to share my update, with my VIN and date of delivery. I'm excited. Wife's excited. Happy early Valentines to us.

Oh and since we have a VIN, I have an MSRP. I am proud of my purchase price as well.
MSRP - $30,260
Invoice - $25,518

I am picking it up at invoice. I expected invoice to be around 26,800 to 27,100. But this is what the computer shows. Which is good cause I already have quite a tab building up with CSG.

Congrats but something's definitely fishy there.

On my sales order it says:
MSRP: $29,660
Invoice: $28,131

I think you are probably seeing invoice for the Premium, but if they give you that price then that is awesome.
