I ordered a '17 Limited in WRB - I bought a '17 PP car in Silver that showed up as I was getting tired of waiting and got a great deal on it.

The I signed the papers and put a deposit down on 1/4 - Was told 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. about the first week of Feb. I got the VON - Dealer and SOA kept telling me March as a delivery date.

3/1 I made the deal for the car I bought as I wasn't confident that the car I ordered would deliver in March

as of today the dealer still hasn't received the car - never got a vin

That said Subaru dealers are curious creatures

I bought my wife a '16 Crosstrek back in August. When I started looking for my BRZ I approached my prior salesman - He showed zero interest in selling me one... I haven't seen a BRZ in there inventory at all in the entire time I had been looking (basically since October)

A local dealer with whom I had an agreement to buy (they where going to trade for one) - just stopped replying to me and when I went by the dealer to see what was up they said they couldn't get it..... two months later they contact me as if I was a new customer lead. They currently have 3 cars on their lot and not a peep from them to see if I want one

We love our Subaru's - My wife has owned one since 2002 and there has been one in my family since 1983 or 84 - Quirky cars and dealers for sure

I ordered a 17 limited in White with Performance Package in late Feb. I received an email from Subaru with VON on the same day saying that my BRZ will arrive in June... Haven't received any information about VIN or any update so far.

I can pretty much guarantee that you'll get it before that. When I ordered mine in mid/late Jan, I go tthe same email predicting late May. I ended up getting my own white brz pp mid march. I got a lot of information by directly calling SoA and simply asking for an update a month after and he's the one that confirmed my build and told me 'March' and that it was actually being built at the time.

Also curious to hear your allocation number as we believe the last two digits (mine was 03) coincides with the month of delivery.

I don't have the allocation number. Where can I get the allocation number?

YMMV I guess. I ordered early Feb and was told May. Nearly 2 months later, my ETA is still May.

Well another possibility is that someone who ordered before him either to the same dealer or another in the area cancelled. So maybe that one was freed up and the reservation went to him.

Or that's not it at all. that's the fun of this whole thing.

Is it true that the MY17 models don't have a telescoping steering wheel?

Weird, I just read this in a Road&Track article, "The steering wheel is a nice small size, but you can only adjust the tilt, not the telescope."

The review was about the 86, but I would think it would be the same.

I mean, I'm pretty sure.. I can double-check tomorrow because I honestly haven't adjusted it since day 1 of having it. Or someone else can confirm it.

Actually, just double-checked the 2017 manual and while one spot specifically mentions it as telescoping, the actual page with instructions for adjusting it does not specify pushing or pulling it.

So, I might be wrong.

Just want to say I received my car last month and very much enjoying it thus far.

how do you add photos that are larger than 1300 x 850 and then "resize" them?
