Wicked Big Meet 2018

Attending the event? No meet up or pack run being requested, just looking to see the north east forum attendance at this event. I've been going since 2011, it's a great place to meet for part sales too.

So, who is going?! There's a sweet raffle, you can also buy entry tickets at the gate if you're just deciding you may attend off handedly. A lot of great vendors with a decently behaved crowd. If you're like me, and the only sports cars you see are saltwashed WRXs, it's nice to attend a show where everyone brings their best.

I'll probably be going, finally got my brz after a few years on the fence, so I figured I'd have a reason to go now and get an idea for what improvements I'll make to it. And of course meet some like minded people.

Although I feel like the general subaru community seems to be a bit toxic towards the ft86 platform seeing as some consider it the "bastard" child.

I get this feeling, but only in that they know they have better acceleration if they're in the wrx or sti. I think as far as it being a Subaru they still appreciate its existence.

Ugh - I've never been to this meet before and was considering going for the autocross, but if that's the prevalent attitude there then I'll continue skipping it.

To be honest, people couldn't care less about your car. I've brought an e36, and a 3000gt VR4. Nobody looked twice at me.. The meet isn't your car, the meet is circling around vendor booths looking at neat rides, products, and the track stuff. Skipping it for fear your car will be judged is silly. The 2012 event was centered around the BRZ!

If you come by, find me at the VEMS booth, I'll come give your car a thumbs up I'll probably be at the booth half the day
