Sound tube no, resonator yes. Mishimoto found this when testing their inlet tube. Though I guess no one has tested stock inlet with and without sound tube.

Yeah I just realized today that theres no way for me to put the stock sound tube back in because i have a mishimoto inlet hose LOL. I guess thats a no go then? But hey do you guys happen to know where i can buy the cap that goes at the bottom of the passenger side under the glove depart where the sound tube connects? Its a tiny little whole but you cap it and then take off the sound tube from your engine bay.

Open your glove box and there should be a 12V outlet somewhere back there. Take the cap from there and shove it into the firewall hole. Should be a perfect fit.

The sound tube has a diaphragm in it, so there's no air going through. It's just there to transmit sound. Removing the tube won't really impact performance.

Wow I didn't know that LOL! Thanks for the advice I just uninstalled the sound tube and my engine bay looks a lot better!
