And get a set of crow foot wrench....it'll help massively.

This is pretty much what I figured I would do. But out of curiosity, is it terribly difficult to remove the elbow and put it back on? Which Loctite is used on the bolts and anyone know what to torque the bolts too when putting it back on? Sorry if this is answered somewhere earlier in the thread.

Remove the whole manifold and blower from the engine. It's a pain in the ass but it's an even bigger pain in the ass to try to replace the fittings or remove the elbow while the manifold is installed.

removing the blower is completely unnecessary and a complete waste of time.

All you need are the right tools to get the elbow off. If you don't have a set pick up allen key socket extensions with the ball ends on them. Something like this:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Lon...S7PC/202934856

Thats all you need. its 6 bolts holding the elbow on the back. The bottom ones are tricky to get to but not really, they are directly under the top bolts so just follow a line straight down to find them. When putting them back on, put a little piece of tape around the allen bolts so you can just guide the bolt into the hole to screw them back in, then simply pull back and pull the tape off.

I also don't recommend snapping the fittings off to pull them out easily. Why break a fitting that isn't broken? You never know if you may need it in the future. Thats just me though.

Just had a belt fail on me Thank God I had a spare. I am running a 69mm pulley with a K061015 belt, but heard elsewhere that K061010 would be better with pulleys < 72mm. Any opinions/experiences?

I'm running the 70mm and had my K061015 fail two weeks ago. I replaced with a K061010 and it's marginally tighter and seems like a better choice. No issues so far. Was able to overnight it from Amazon for less than $30.

Thanks - I may try that.

I replaced my failed K061015 with a K061015RB that I had bought earlier. I couldn't find a K061010RB. I may call Gates.

Gates got back to me really quickly - they suggested the K061010HD:

My stock innovate belt keeps trying to slip off as well. I always carry a wrench and 14mm socket just in case. Also just ordered the belt you linked.

I find it funny how people think it so hard to remove 6 bolts, just because its in a tight location. If you have the right tools its easy. If you don't, its a nightmare.

I wonder how the HD compares to the Blue belts I've heard about.

They're o-rings... Just put more grease on them.

Unless you're an idiot and over-torqueing the bolts you're not going to break/strip any of them lol.

O rings are meant for one time use (not saying you can't reuse them, but you really shouldn't)...And taking off bolts over and over again will wear them out, they aren't indestructible lol, not to mention you are unbolting steel bolts from an aluminum engine block so anti seize is a must (which should be done regardless).

You can waste your time however you want. I'm just here to remind you of it. It can be done either way, but like I said, it's completely unnecessary. Why disconnect fuel lines over and over again, multiple bolts, clamps, etc. if you can't see how many more risk factors there are pulling off the entire manifold then I don't know what to tell you.
