[SOLD] Kenwood DDX917WS Head Unit and Carbon Car Systems Harness $525 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hi everyone. I sold my BRZ 2017 w/PP this summer and am selling my Kenwood DDX917WS head unit along with the wiring harness that I purchased directly from carbon car systems. Head unit worked flawlessly in my BRZ and was as easy as plugging everything in and bolting it back into the dash. On a side note, it fits perfectly with the one piece dash trim if you have it.

The Kenwood unit comes with all original cables and they are all in brand new condition. Since I had the custom harness I didn't have to touch a majority of the cables in the box. I am also including the adapter that allows you to keep your OEM dash USB port. The stereo itself is in almost new condition. There are a couple of extremely fine hairline scratches that I found after looking at it under harsh lighting conditions in my office. They are definitely not noticeable under normal viewing conditions. Anyways, please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested. I have all receipts in my email and will gladly provide them if requested. I will ship most likely via Fedex and will only charge the amount required to ship. I am usually able to find some shipping discounts and will definitely pass the savings to you if possible. I am also open to meeting in the DFW area if you are around here.

does the harness allow using the microphone by the dome light? I have a ddx916 and never could get that to work...

Unfortunately you can’t use the Mic already in the car. It comes with an aftermarket one that hooks into the stereo. Worked better than the one that came in the car imo.

Interested, does this work with steering wheel controls as is, or will i have to pick up the other unit?
