The thread OP was referencing:

Transmissions have been replaced under warranty for this exact issue.

Good to know. There is a baseline there, although one of the first posts is a guy with a tune going to 7,800 and getting the issue. I didn't go through the entire thread to see if this person or other people that put the car on the track or modded the car had it replaced under warranty. Is there a determinable cause of the grind, aside from my assumptions? I see mentions of wear, but why would there be wear for this group of people and not others?

I'm not trying to say that the synchros aren't shit, as that might be entirely true, but we are right back to how OP uses his car. I still need a reason why OP is not responsible for $10K in costs and it is the transmissions fault.

"They said that due to my modifications and the track time my car has endured, I caused the issue and therefore it is unwarrantable."

And yes, it is awesome that so many people have gotten their transmission replaced, even with mods and track time, and I hope OP fixes this problem without shelling out 5K in labor to a dealership, but I can't get my mindset on the side that it should be warrantied.

Also I just now skimmed his first two videos and looked at his video playlist, and I know this is profiling, but now I am even more not on his side out of principal of my hate of cst vlogs, unless you are B is for build

You should probably complete your research before you jump to conclusions.

In case you've slept through life, let me help you with some of its practical definitions...

Marketing= Legal embellishment for the purposes of attracting sales.
Warranties= Marketing to inspire confidence in the quality of a product.

Both generally created and vetted against liability risk by people smarter than you. Are there some nuances? Sure, but they aren't the types of things to hedge bets on.

It takes money, know how, and/or skill to play with expensive toys. Pick two. That's life.

I'm bored.

I noticed you put this video up last month.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6F-3x4oRQ4"]Testing the Open Flash Tablet for the FRS/BRZ - YouTube[/ame]

At the 10:50 mark you are using launch control.

From about 8:48 you start accelerating and rowing through the gears. At the 9:04 mark you shift, and when you cut into your commentary and cut back, you can clearly hear your 4th gear grinding.

Hmm... I wonder if this will be covered or not... oh wait, you modded it for flat foot shifting.
