This is mainly dependent on the wastegate and boost controller setup. I have a GReddy T518Z (GReddy specific version of a Mitsubishi 18g turbo), that results in that behavior. With the boost controller, I can, if I wanted to, force it to hold the boost pressure flat all the way up to redline.
Do you have any opinions on using rom raider/OFT for a turbo

based on that information mike, would the turbosmart blowoff valve that comes standard on the JDL kit behave in this way? this is assuming of course there are no leaks and everything is connected okay

BOV =/= Wastegate/boost controller.

It'll depend on the turbo you choose.

You’re in for a hell of an experience if you’re comparing this to your s13 lmao

I’ve owned plenty 240s and this is no 240 when it comes to tuning. Throw most of the knowledge you had out the window cause it’s a whole new ball game with this engine

well damn. I forgot this thing has DI and port injectors - thinking out loud, maybe I should just buy a Silva K's with an sr20det already in it from an importer since we can do that now and keep the frs NA

I had a brainfart, sorry about that. I meant the wastegate, if a turbo system has boost creep would you get rid of it by getting a bigger wastegate?

Depends on the reason for boost creep.
