No, that's something. Not like it's going to frag tomorrow but, hmmm... Is it up top, or deeper in the bell housing?

Remember when we were texting back and forth I mentioned how the piston in my replacement cylinder had a sloppy counterbore for the pushrod? It can wiggle around.

Try feeling for the click on that pushrod while someone else pushes the clutch. I wonder if it isn't something there.

Can't seem to pin point it...

Reading on the forums there are a bunch of quirky issues clicking etc with our clutches.

I'm in SW Washington, otherwise I'd cruise over to Phantobe's pad and lend a hand.

Wish I could.

Next on my list are engine mounts and such to get rid of the first gear boinga-boinga-boinga... It's a sports car FFS! Talk about grenading stuff, the wheel hop scares the shit out of me.
Perrin mounts are going in within the month. I'll report how I like 'em

I've filmed the engine rocking so there's a lot to control there. Guaranteed bump in NVH, though. I know I'm preaching to the choir.

Thinking of mounting the camera underneath to see if I can get an idea of where else we get the big wiggles.

Anything to stop that last bit of rubber-banding..

This is a very shallow and uneducated guess at what's happening, but ever since I tightened up the driveline with upgraded diff, outrigger, subframe, and transmission mounts.. the yaw-ing has changed to become much more forward. All and all it's better, but I am in stop and go traffic for at LEAST a couple hours a day. So I have had ample time to feel this out, and it definitely has shifted yawing forward. I'm thinking energy is being thrown at the mounts as they are now dispropotionally weaker than the rest of the system. Am I crazy or dumb or both?

No, you are neither. It's all about the weakest link. the best bang for your stiffness buck is closest to the torsional axes. Draw a line through the engine and diff, then another between the rear wheels. I'm thinking all 3 diff mounts are good candidates but especially the front mount. I haven't started reading up on it. Just need to separate the good solutions from the snake oil.

I bet those Perrin mounts are going to be dramatic.

edit: Duh, you already did the diff mounts.
