These wheels look great on our cars.
Think gold would look good on Asphalt? Went through the thread and didn't see any pictures. |

Just curious, anyone running gold 530's on a SWP BRZ? Very interested to see pics of the 17x8.25+35 especially shots/angles that can show the concavity/dish. Everything I've seen on this thread is pure sexy. The 527's look very hot too, but I have a weakness for mesh wheels.
Oh. Also if someone had a side by side comparison between the 17's and 18's it would also be helpful. Just found out that I have a Dividend coming back to me from an old insurance policy so instead of buying based purely on what I can afford, I can buy based on what I want/like.

I think classy gold rims look good on almost everything. I think they would look quite hot on Asphalt

The 527 in 8.75x18 are 9.5kg, imo thats not to bad for a "cheap" wheel

I haven't looked up the 527's, but they should be lighter than the 530's. Weight-wise, the 530's are slightly lighter than the stock rims, even in the 18" sizes. If you go to the 18's there is the chance that you'll notice the additional rotational mass (placement of the weight of the rim in the wheel circle, the further out it is, the more effort required to turn it) but if you get the 17's you should actually see a slight improvement, even though it's a wider rim. The stock 17" wheels are just under 21lbs per corner, and I think the 530 17x8.25+35's are about 18.1lbs per corner. Definitely not too crazy a rim for a female...

My 18" 530's weighed less than my 18" gram light 57dr so i would't worry about weight.

Will poke abit in front (about 5mm) and alot in the back (about 25-30mm) on stock suspension/without camber. If you slam the car and put some good camber on it, it will work. But its not really a functional setup

@Killerbee
Got 225/40 on the 18/8.75 +35 all round and want a drop. Springs are most likely the route I am going. what springs are recommended for day to day driving, but still giving good handling. Dont want more than .7 to 1" drop Would the straight drop affect the camber on OEM shocks set up. anyone else recommend? |

For the looks check out my pictures on page 5 and 6 of my car journal, running same wheel setup as you do (except for 245/35 tires) Camber will be about 1 - 1.5°off, front can be adjusted, rear cannot (at least with stock). But you hardly will notice it at all. Also, check out my pictures, page 5 with the pictures infront of the castle is after the drop without camber correction done, and page 6 onwards is with correction done.
