One question - is this kit track worthy, assuming you have an oil cooler installed?

Something we're all waiting on CSG to give the thumbs up or down on.

There will actually be quite a few well known companies testing this kit on the track. I would expect early solid results from CSG and the likes in the next 2-3 months.

To those of you testing this kit- Can you log pre and post charge cooler temps and throttle position for the rest of us?

pre intercooler temp wont be as accurate because the temp signal wire from the MAF is relocated to the TMAP sensor to read post charge temps. Unlike other superchargers on the market, it uses a Bosch 2bar combination temp/pressure sensor. Looks like there's an ambient temp sensor in front of the AC condenser that can be used for reference.

Are other supercharger pre-post temps available on threads here? I couldn't find anything.

I was going to send you just an AIM log. While it wont be pre/post cooler temps, you'll get AAT vs IAT, which is still a great relative reading, and we can also watch the trend over time.

Right, it would be interesting to add a sensor or two and measure them directly. Resolution is pretty poor on the OBD channels.

The only one I have seen is for the Cosworth SC Kit. Less than 10C temp rise.

Less than 10C rise at 25C. I want to see some temperatures taken at 40C. Around here, 25C is a cool fall morning. Keeping a car cool at those temperatures is nothing to brag about, in my opinion. The delta T at 40C is going to be substantially reduced. That graph also doesn't show engine coolant temps, or any other indicator that the car had been running hard for an extended period of time.

If the Edelbrock can keep a 10° rise at summer temps at the end of a session, we'll be sold. Until then, we'll wait to pass judgement.

We have no idea how long that pull was. For all we know it could have been a 2 second ramp, which doesn't even give the air time to get hot.

It wasn't taken on a dyno pull. These guys do it properly

They did tons of track testing. Worse track for them in terms of IATs here in the uk was bruntingthorpe on a 25C day (that's hot here in the UK) where the main straight was 3/4 typically hitting 150MPH (lots of extended WOT). They were seeing 33-35C all day long.

I didn't ask specifically about high ambient temps (was more interesting in seeing evidence the kit doesn't heat soak) but they seemed confident they had tested it in all possible environments.

All that testing means nothing, without evidence of it working well.

You could still say they did a ton of track testing, even if the results were terrible.
