By emulate do you mean these can clone the stock ID's so you don't need to re-program the ECU each swap?

This is interesting as I just changes my stock wheels for aftermarkets and when we went to switch the TPMS, there weren't any!
Apparently the Australian 86 runs a system that monitors the ride hight of the tyres through the suspension? Has anyone else come across this? I'm not getting any faults on my dash so I'm assuming it's all good. |

A local guy with a brz I met swapped his wheels and tires without switching the tmps and had no warning lights. Apparently it doesn't matter if you have them or not.

I have two sets of wheels/tires each with its own set of TPMS. It takes me about a 30 minute drive on the new set before the light comes on. I have an ATEQ Quickset that I can plug into my OBD2 port to reprogram the active TPMS ID's on with a click of either of two buttons (Winter set / Summer set). That said, the warning light is exactly that - just a warning. It doesn't cause any issues with anything, so if you want to ignore the light, you don't need to have TPMS in your wheels. |
