FR-S in multi-car pile-up
I was in the slow lane on I78 East in San Marcos which was going a bit faster than the fast lane and I witnessed a multi-car pileup. A Mercedes slowed down quickly and SUV behind him stopped in time. The white FR-S behind him was not so lucky and nailed him really good. The FR-S then got hit really hard in the rear and then that car then got rear-ended. The big loser in this dominos was the FR-S which was squashed in front and back. I am hoping all drivers are okay, especially the FR-S driver who took the brunt of the hits. There was another white FR-S taking the same exit as I was who I thought was the one in the accident.

Nope! He looks like a responsible driver that went past a serious accident in a safe and courteous manner!
How impressed would you be if you came on here to find pictures of your smashed up car? Or even worse, he totaled his trying to take pictures to entertain a forum? Now if the pictures can be taken in a safe manner and it isn't likely that somebody (maybe me or you) isn't going to say "that was me" I am happy to take a look.

Did you witness the accident or just see the aftermath? Possible the FRS had stopped in time but the car behind him pushed him in to the SUV in front?

Quote:
Saw the whole thing... FR-S nailed the SUV. FR-S was following too closely (saw front get smooshed). The guy behind the FR-S then hit him since he was also following too closely (saw rear get smooshed). The SUV had enough stopping distance so either he stopped in time not to hit the Mercedes at the front of the cars affected or love tapped him. The Mercedes also stopped, but seemed kind of sideways a bit in the lane. |
