I was thinking about getting these as a cheap solution for more camber on my KWs but after reading this thread I think I might just get more expensive camber plates...

Also, these don't impact ride height correct?

At least for the stock strut, no.

No, they don't. But neither do Group-N.

I'm gonna put them on KWs, but should make no difference.

What's the Group-N?

It's a subaru made "Group-N" ralley part. Basically it's stiffer then the stock part, which makes a surprising difference, but doesn't have the bearing issues that these have. They don't add camber, but you can get that with some bolts for less then the cost of an alignment.

I don't need stiffer, I need adjustment!

The popping is back on the new sets. This time fuck it. Its only happening when pulling backwards out of my driveway. I'm going to use them. The car was fantastic two weeks ago so I'm not making any changes.

Not what I wanted to hear.... got my replacements on and so far it's quiet, but it's only been two days. Seems with the other set the rubber was starting to separate from the metal causing air pockets/friction - if it happens again I'm going back to the stock tops, not interested in a suspension failure.

Sorry not what I wanted to hear either. The set Jan sent me last 12 days or so before doing it again. Just sent him another email letting him know. These things were made for a imprezza I just dont think they are going to work on the frs. Something needs to change. They mount up but I have yet to talk to anyone thats been problem free.

Then get a camber plate, which is adjustable and also makes noise. Com-C mounts add static amounts of camber and caster, so perhaps they're not what you're looking for.

Can you explain this a little further?!? TIA. I really don't want to loose suspension travel that a camber plate will add. I'm very close to the bumpstops on compression.

You said you wanted adjustment. The Com-C is NOT adjustable, it is shaped such that it locates the strut differently, adding both camber and caster in a STATIC (unchangeable) manner. Furthermore, the solid-mounted nature of camber plates means that they will make more noise as they are metal-metal instead of using rubber to isolate suspension noise/harshness.

If you get proper (non-stack-height altering) camber plates, you will not LOSE suspension travel. You can also cut your bumpstops if you're still using the stock ones. TIC (Turn In Concepts) sells the camber plates you're looking for if you want to NOT lose travel AND adjust camber/caster. @Racecomp Engineering also sells some, but they've been out of stock forever I hear; perhaps Andrew or Myles could better explain what I'm saying.
