All I've been able to do is churn the air while moving but sitting in the paddock, even with brushless fans, the fluid temp starts rising and the pedal needs a pump once moving again. What I'm trying to say is that having a slider with all the pistons toward the fresh air seems to be a plus for cooling.

I was actually looking at the lower control arm ducts, so that they could be easily removable to stay legal in SSC. I have seen a similar design used on Focus STs that swap between track and autox duty.

Hi. My tester is using High Plains in Denver. I've never been to that track but he says the LCA ducts are doing as well there as the fans have. Our testing of the LCA ducts on an STi on a really tough cooling track have them about equal to the traditional ducts (not available for the BRZ due to space) but not as good as the fans. The LCA ducts are super easy to take on and off, use existing holes in the A arms.

Another noob question: With the suspension getting replaced, is there any significant difference between the twins? Is the FRS lighter, or does the BRZ have any useful options, etc.?

I believe the heated seats in the BRZ Limited make it heavier. A little. Worth it for your winter ice racing adventures...

The most critical option here in Phoenix!

I've seen it frequently claimed that the BRZ is 27 lbs heavier than the FR-S due to fancy accessories and such.

Since I am not a NASA rules guru, where does an SSC car end up in the NASA classing system? Can it be moved to another class with just a tire change? Thanks
