Don't want to beat a dead horse but there is a lot of back and forth between threads.

Do the OEM washers, that come with car, for transmission and differential fluid need to be replaced? In other words, are they flat or crush?

From what I am reading they are flat so no they don't. But a lot of people seem to be buying them?

transmission washers do not need to be replaced. differential washers do. they seem to be of one-time use to me.

I think I got my last pair from Toyota on Amazon. Or if you want to upgrade to magnetic drain plugs from ft86speedfactory, they'll come with washers. But to answer your question, I'm sure a Toyota dealer would have them or have them ordered for you.

Transmission fill/drain plug gasket: - 24mm OD x 18mm ID x 2mm Flat

This is my order from belmtric.com which are the same dimensions and fit perfectly. I ordered extras. LEt me know if you need more help.

Here's the page

4 ea. GCA18X24 - Copper hollow crush gasket $2.88
4 ea. GA18X24T - Aluminum Gasket THICK $1.52
I know this thread is super old, but thanks for this post! I hadn't heard of Belmetric before, so I feel like I've been living under a rock. It's pretty awesome that they let you order any quantity of essentially any part, and shipping is only $7.99. Most online small parts stores either have huge quantity minimums or expensive shipping.

Transmission fill/drain plug gasket: SU00303626 - 24mm OD x 18mm ID x 2mm Flat

They all look to be aluminum but that is just a guess. All measurements were made with calipers.
Edit: The crush washers stuck to the magnet on the drain plug so I guess they are not aluminum

Left Image is the diff drain/fill gaskets and they look identical. They are the exact same outer/inner diameter and thickness. They are both crush type washer.

The right image is the transmission fill/drain plug gasket is the same size as the differential gasket but is a flat washer.

After I pull the transmission gasket I will compare the thickness of the used and the new gasket to see if the transmission flat washer did actually "crush".
Edit: The original flat washer was within a 1000th of an inch of the new flat washer so I would guess they are not meant to crush.

When I order the differential crush washers again I will just order two of the same part number instead of two different parts.

Here in the Toronto area we may as well just spend the money at the stealership. I visited at least 10 auto parts stores and found no metal "crush" washer/gaskets anywhere. Did get some 18mm fibre crush washers at PartSource in Markham eventually.

Edit: Broke down and visited Dixie Toyota in Mississauga today. Picked up two 18mm crush washers for CA$2.20 each. I should have called them first and saved much chasing around to parts stores.

Dumb question, but does the MT6 gearbox use the same crush washer as the AT ?
