Some type of fabric over faux carbon fiber dash piece?

I don't know exactly what to call it, but the little dash piece that's faux carbon in the FRS and faux aluminum in the BRZ, has anyone tried to upholster it with any type of fabric? Kinda like this guy did here.

Many folks have recovered it with alcantara, myself included. I used @JPM Coachworks, but I think there are a few other vendors like Overland Designs and Redline Goods who do similar work.

There are some pics of mine in here.

I did this over the last week. Grey suede. It took about 1 yard, a can of spray adhesive and a shit ton of patience to do it. I plan on doing the center console and some trim in the back too.
