For the main post scoreboard, I got the 1:07.109 time using the SIXAXIS controller with AT. I might try again tonight with MT to see if I can beat my time and take a screenshot then.

I was played GT3 a lot back in the day, but I'm totally out of the loop. If I buy GT5 on the way home from work, how much bs will I have to endure to play this challange? Do I just have to DL it from PSN and that's that?

Same question for the Top Gear track, if anyone knows, is that something that needs to be unlocked or can I just get in there? I just can't play games for hours on end unlocking shit anymore. I have a family and get bored too quick these days.

Hah, I know it can be a hassle jumping through hoops to get the licenses. But that's really one of the funnest parts of GT5 - going for Gold in all feels like an accomplishment. Like an old school challenge. You shouldn't have to DL anything to access this BRZ challenge. I think you just need to create a PSN account, be logged in, and it should be available for you to play in the Seasonal Events section. Top Gear Test Track has to be earned after completing something in the Special Events section, I believe (perhaps the Top Gear Test Track challenge), for which you might need a specific license. It's not that bad going through all this. You should be in for a treat as it's a revolution over GT3.

To get the Top Gear Test Track, you just need to get a gold on the first Top Gear special event. You just need to be level 4 to unlock the special event, and you do not need any licenses to get the challenge (I don't think you need licenses for anything, actually; they're just like another special event in a sense). Getting to level 4 will take no time at all. I had changed PSN names since I last played, so I started out with nothing again. Went to the Seasonal Events section, completed one run of the BRZ challenge with a silver, and I was level 12.

They give it to you for updating to 2.02 or something like that. I had to sit through 21 updates. >_>

Same thing happened to me after I had twins. I used to spend way too much time playing games but now I can't find any time at all to do anything. But playing GT5 last night reminded me how fun the game is. You can level up pretty quickly.

108.9 is my best so far. Most of my time has been on the Top Gear track, though. I had no idea there GT5 offered it or I would have bought it ages ago! I've been trying to beat Jeremy's record in a "reasonably priced car" all morning...

1:07.094 is the best I could do. Beat my old time by 15ms. Pretty consistent! I haven't played the game enough to get used to the MT so this is still AT.

It's a dangerous game. I also really like the fact that it has the Top Gear test track... Awesome show.
