well seeing all these post with basic mods adding alot of power i can see us hitting those numbers really easy.

Depends on usage IMO. As a track car I'll put oil pressure and oil temp in the car regardless of it being NA or having positive intake manifold pressure...

We'll be super lucky to hit 225whp with intake, header, high flow cat, catback, and a tune. Let alone 275.....

Yeah we have some sophisticated stuff in our race cars. But for street cars with stock engines. I think that is enough! Any more info and you make a nervous nelly out of everyone.

Great bunch of guys, a buddy and myself probably ended up having them waste an entire day with Don having them take stuff off the BRZ, then reassemble it just to give us a ride in it

Thanks for stopping in. It wasn't to busy of a day. I really needed a slow day anyway. It was hot and nobody wanted to work after the long weekend. I hope you'll come back next month. By then I should've turned the wick up.

And we'll grab some of these:happy0180:

umm i think you forget about all the people that dynoed stock 5.0 mustangs at 398 rwhp

3453 lbs 260 whp 13.2807 v6 p/w
3875 lbs 395 whp 9.8101 v8 p/w
500 whp 7.75 p/w
2600 lbs 171 whp 15.2047 ( i did this calculation based off the weight im stripping out of the car, not actual stock weights but does give a good reference point)
195.7728 whp = 3.7L power to weight
265.0330 whp = 5.0L power to weight
335.4838 whp = GT500 power to weight

but put this in perspective, we need 200 less crank hp to accelerate as fast as a gt500... and a lot less tq

not to mention our trannys have stuff the IS250's dont have, i bet our trannys are stronger as well, but we wont know till someone breaks one, the manual is quite beefy, i would expect the auto to be just a bit behind, prob could handle 100 less hp than the manual

Does that equate to full boost all the time? Also is 2600 rpm basically the rpm the engine speed you shift in to?

Did you buy the car to drag race Rustangs?

On a side note, I'm going to miss the power:weight of my Corvette, and its 285 rears.

I just googled saw a few dynoes between 355 and 375 and took an average. My post wasn't supposed to be about a drag race between the two. I am personally looking for a peak whp to weight ratio better than a stock 5.0. That'll be my benchmark minimum for drifting to my standards.

To all of you concerned about gauges etc. If you have a smartphone or tablet you can use the Torque app to view a lot of data.

Very very tiny example.

This one is from my phone. Boost on the left. AFR on the right.

As far as people complaining about pricing...yes it's expensive. Cheaper than some cars, more expensive than a lot, but first to market carries a premium. Give it a year, throw in some competition, and you'll see prices fall to some degree.
