Thanks for the heads up. Disappointed to hear that there were no power gains though. That's surprising. Was the tune revised to account for the header?

On a positive note, I hear they have the frontpipe fit issue resolved not that it matters if it doesn't make power.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if the header itself doesn't make much of a difference all by itself, a tuner may be able to tune more aggressively, timing wise. He may even be able to change exhaust cam angle since the header is changed. This was the case with my Borla EL. Bill was able to gain 5 hp here and there by smoothing out the curve via exhaust cam tweaks + aditional timing advance. Peak whp was sadly unaffected though.

The stock header is still an impedence for superchargers tuning wise (my tuner says due to heat and knock thresholds) so I would say any decent aftermarket header is better than stock due to that itself.

That being said, I'd love to see a header that just synergizes with the supercharger without tuning (and then performs even better with tuning). This may be a tall order.

P.S. Yes I will show what just bolting on the Revworks UEL header does. No changes to the tune.

Yes tune revised.

The fitment issues on the P&L header are still alive and unwell. I'd suggest someone else.

damn, thanks for the heads up. I had contacted them to verify it wouldn't have issues fitting with my nameless frontpipe/overpipe combo and they assured me it wouldn't.

Back to the drawing board. @sw20kosh want to cut me a deal on that piece of crap borla?

They insist that the header follows stock routing but it puts my Perrin overpipe more than 1/2" out of location, right against the crossmember. I was basically told my overpipe is the problem. The revised overpipes are getting out in the wild now...and haven't helped. Hopefully now they'll admit the header is at fault. All the same, if you want a catted 4-1, try FA20Club instead, same price, same basic design, no complaints about fitment that I've seen.

I've considered theirs, but I was hoping for something in stock. I don't really care about the cat one way or the other. I'd probably choose catless, given the option.

In stock and equal length seem to be limiting my options. Looks like it's P&L or Borla. I wish i could find some more reviews of the Borla EL to see if @sw20kosh might just have had bad luck with his, but not badly enough to be the guinea pig.

@Jason@Nameless - pretty please?

In hindsight, I should have waited for Jason to finish up his header. I will probably dump this P&L crap when Nameless releases theirs.

I wasn't correcting your grammar. I am pretty sure that worst was the proper usage in that sentence. Microsoft Word agrees. I don't have any problems with you if you are refrencing the Subaru paint thread. Lighten up man.

I hear you on that man. Just found out an hour ago that I most likely won't be getting a paycheck next Friday.
