Yep, I thought as much. I'm really interested in the pressure and temp differential as I'm also looking at some venting.

Whoever did yours has done a really neat job.

Looks good...

I heard you guys deleted both front and rear bumper beams and was wondering if any bracing was used in their place or not.

Also, do you happen to know the weight of those stock bumper beams?

Looking forward to your radiator/oil cooler group buy...

Thanks!

Makes me want to get one of these cars even more now. Nice work! Can't wait to see what else you do with it.

At Robispec we are fans of extra credit work and so we went to an "overkill cooling solution" stock radiator is 15mm core we replace this with 2 25mm tube core add a liquid to liquid oil cooler in the "cold side tank" and have less than 2 feet of total lines to complete the whole "kit".
The best thing about this is that you dont need to thermostaticly control the oil temp (a big potential problem with the Air to liquid cooler solutions) as the water thermostat does this for you and actually heats the oil faster during warm up then stabilizes it to run about 20-30 degrees hotter than the water temp. this is better in many ways than the current kits on the market.
1. lighter overall
2. short hose runs, minimal resistance to flow = no extra strain on the stock oil pump
3. "fixes" the Water cooling issues sure to develop with the stock radiator.
4. Uses existing cooling airflow and leaves fender locations for brake ducting
5. With low profile fans ADDS space in front of the engine for turbo/SC piping

Picts in the car

here are the cores for comparison. BIG PROBLEM and no oil cooler included with the car either.
Even the A/C condensed is thicker than the Stock radiator!(3/4" vs 5/8 ")

here is the BEST solution...to the above problem

can use stock A/C with this.
NO cutting plastec to mount
Cold air over the top as needed
STOCK mounting points used
OVER TRIPLE THE COOLING CAPACITY and an extra Qt of engine oil.
takes 2 hours to install
total system cost Radiator oilcooler takeoff plates hoses, an fittings, fans
EVERYTHING INCLUDED for John Q Public to install $1,195.00

Look for the group buy to save money on the first ten of these.

Robi

Lovin' the radiator/oil cooler setup!

Got to Ride in this with robi . Awesome work car is amazing on the track and robi is probably border line crazy behind the wheel on track. After a track run with him it's truley a testament to our cars and his great design and suspension work , I highly recommend robi

No bracing needed (you need to PROVE to me a bolted on brace is needed before I give back any of my hard won weight reductions!!!)both end beams held on with 4-6 6mm bolts these just hang them in place lol cant add any meaningful torsional strength. I mean we had a viper with a 10 point engine cage 6 on the firewall with 5/8ths bolts holding it to the fire wall and it STILL MOVED on a 7 post rig! we had to make interferance cones and press the hat on to the cone with the bolt before we lost the flex!
think I have them somewhere and can weigh them

agreed already have drag marks! but the iron case has a thikend area designed to take the hit while protecting the aluminum rear cover..But we ARE testing their design criteria!
