Wait til Friday then compare it with the other MT FRS :P. It will probably eliminate whether or not its a common thing or its just your FRS.

No worries! I'll remind you even if I'm not there (unless they let me get off work early..)

Go to work early so you can leave early, that's what I do when I need to leave early from work

Doesn't work that way when the dept I'm in doesn't have enough employees to cover the shift during rush hours. I will probably find out whether or not I can leave early by today (assuming I can convince my co-worker to come in 5-7 and have management approve of that) :X

I find sometimes that there is certified dealership mechanics, then there are people who actually know how to fix things...

It sounds like dealer1 has absolutely no fucking clue as to what's wrong with your 5th gear, and are just replacing parts left and right until it goes away. I would not visit them ever again.

Anyone else bothered by how they are somehow associating the aftermarket exchaust with a transmission issue?

Seriously:

I find that this wisdom extends into IT, and likely many other professions as well.

Seriously:
I thought the same, how in the hell does a exhaust cause a shifter rattle... I had the exhaust before the trans replacement, and then this issue arose after they replaced the trans..
I will create a thread linking all of my problems here in the NorCal section to make sure no one in norcal goes to this dealership.
