Ontario (or whatever) Group Buy

I saw this in the California section and it looked like a good idea.

So, depending on the final price and obviously a test drive, it's VERY likely that I'll be replacing my car with a new BRZ or FRS in the summer/fall 2012. If there's a lot of us doing the same thing (and we can all agree on a brand and time) then we could save some cash by organizing a group buy from one dealership. This might only work with the Suby since Scion doesn't haggle but, if we get enough people, who knows.

Let me know what you think.

I'm in. Was gonna post the same thing. I'm sold on the car already, the only thing holding me back are the final specs and pricing from either camp, which will decide if I go Subaru or Scion.

Cheers,

An excellent idea and it HAS been done before: http://www.mycarforum.com/blog/myaut...angabad-india/
But I want to buy local, since the Scion dealership is 3 km away from my house

I wonder what the average savings could even be? Problem is production seems to be quite limited so I wonder if theres enough supply at launch for a group to demand lower pricing?

I saw that people were putting deposits down already so I don't know..

I'm in no real rush to get a new car so I'm willing to wait until supply meets demand.

I couldn't wait and got a GenCoupe in the meantime.
Once we get real news about pricing and options, I will decide about the FRS. Won't get one this year but maybe in 2013.
