Anyhow the ft1 is a much larger car and I doubt the current twins etc will be modded or changed much.

Again why care or speculate as so much bullshit rumours daily on power changes etc...
I am not speculating anything, just commenting on what was said mate. Neither did I say that the 86, FRS, BRZ were going to change.

I think they MAY use the Lexus LF-LC platform, which itself is very closely related to the LS platform.

I'm not sure Subaru "owns" the platform. My understanding of the agreement is Toyota pays for the development, Subaru develops and builds, Subaru gets 10% of the production to sale.
Toyota can probably leverage whatever they want from the platform based on them owning a sizable stake in FHI, Subaru's parent company.
I think the IS coupe (RC?) will be the basis for any of the larger rear drive cars in the line up. Not really sure there's a market for a smaller rear drive car, the cost is prohibitive with rear drive.

Really? That car is going to be $100k+.

And who really wants a new Supra to be based on the LS...

Its pretty much the same size as the RC. Come on, its common sense.

I do not know if you are joking or not. The MK4 Supra used a shorten SC platform.

The Lexus IS, RC, GS, and the Toyota Crown all use a similar platform.

I know that bud. The MK1 SC / MK3 Soarer were based off a shortened LS platform.
The GS was also based of the same platform. Therefore a lot of parts are interchangeable between all 4 models.

Um where did you hear that? From what I read the flagship LS is built on its own platform that is not share with other Toyota product. And the current LS/LC is $70k-$120k.

Toyota goal for FT-1 is $50k-$60k. It would make more sense to use a cheaper S platform that is used for the RC/IS/GS.
