Compression/Rebound Adjustments

I recently installed a set of KW V3's per the recommended "street use" settings by @Racecomp Engineering:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...96&postcount=4

After driving it around a bit, I could tell that they had a stiffer feel when hitting bumps in the road (as expected), but the car sort of had a bit of a "floaty" feel to it. I understand the process of adjusting the settings, but is there any good source for the theory behind which setting to adjust for certain situations, like when to adjust compression vs rebound, and in what direction to change the setting? Maybe I have to adjust a combination of both?

It's not as easy as one may think. Especially for the 99.9999% of us that are amateur drivers. How do you know what you like is what you are supposed to like? or what makes the car faster? or what makes the car more predictable?

Thanks, I'll check these links out. I figured it wouldn't be a simple process, but I was just looking for some direction on where to start.

Keep notes. No point in making adjustments if you don't remember what settings you have already played with.

From what I know, you need to know what you've previously set. If you're use KW's preset, go from there with incremental clicks every day and experience it. Note it down

Don't take people's opinion on here, they mislead.

Page 5 of this pdf gives some guidelines to 2 way damper adjustment.
