I've seen plenty of warnings for proper installation of these things...if you don't do it properly, it can cause all sorts of alignment issues with the door.

As for how it feels, it's extremely subtle, and you'll probably only notice if your car is otherwise stock. Once I put a strut bar in, I completely forgot I had these. It does change the sound when you close the door, though. It's not quite at "European-car-clunk", but it's a lot more meaty sounding than what it used to sound like.

No idea. Door still functioned fine and it wasn't until I played with one I noticed when pushing it in it didn't spring back like it did before.

Took it back to the dealer and they replaced it.

Not sure if it was the part or installation that caused it. Was 18 months ago and no issues with the replacement one.

This job was easy in theory but I had to use an impact driver to loosen the hook bolts. I would recommend having this done at the dealer for anyone who isn't handy. I almost stripped the bolts and that would not have been fun.

I can see the intention of these and don't doubt they make some difference. If I was that concerned, though, I'd just get a cage.

That's kind of like saying, "If I was really worried about catching a cold I'd go to school to be a doctor." One is a significantly bigger project than the other.

Have you taken a look at the flimsy POS hinge at the other end of the door?

The difference though is that the hinge is rigidly mounted to the body and door whereas the door once latched shut is a fairly elastic friction fit (by comparison). This item takes up some of the slack in that side of the equation.

looks great, feels great, door sounds better for the lack of another word, isn't really expensive, doesn't hurt handling. go for it, but get them installed at the dealer.

I put them in a few months ago. Easy install. As well I have front and rear strut bars. The TRD door latches made more difference to the handling than my front strut bar and just as much as my rear. Initial turn in is quicker, easy to feel the difference.
