Cusco FSB with master cylinder brace - A heads up for AT owners

FYI
Got my Cusco front strut bar with the Master Cylinder brace today and upon installation found that the MC side requires removing a wiring harness clip and bracket and relocating a small harness.
I basically had to shove it underneath the MC piston chamber and zip tie it for now until I can come up with a better way. I probably should have just left it floating which I may do. I don't think it would do any real harm, I just didn't like the idea of it resting on the brake lines.

I can't imagine it's going to be any different for the BRZ.
I apologize if this has been covered previously. I did do a cursory search.

A top view of the clip and bracket.

Moving the harness under the master cylinder piston chamber.

Here you can see, even after relocating the harness, the strut mount/MC brace will not sit flat without removing that little metal bracket.

*UPDATE*: As requested, I took some photo's of how/where I located the wiring harness for the AT. It ain't pretty, but it works.

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be any mention of having to relocate anything on the BRZ...

That is odd. On ours we had no issues at all.

Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Yeah it only delayed the install like 10 minutes.
I need to identify what it is.
It may have something to do with the automatic trans.

I installed it in my FRS (6MT) and no issues. Like you said perhaps it is on auto.

Mine is one the way and I have an AT. I hope there won't be any surprises. BTW, did you guys have to cut anything for the rear bar?

I have a BRZ AT and there is a bracket and line that, indeed, needs to be moved/relocated, but from what I can see it doesn't seem to be too bad. I can probably use some zip ties to get it out of the way, but it does seem that the bracket has to be removed.

I guess most tuners just don't test their gear for AT's.

Okay, then it's settled. Must be for the AT trans.
Yeah, it was no big deal.
It was a WTF moment, and then it took all of a few minutes to test the possibilities, take a few pics and move on.
