Interestingly, I had less roll over on the V2's even though the sidewalls are softer and I was running 3psi less than the ZII's. Overall I'm very pleased with the R-S3 V2's.

Did you get them shaved or not?

I'm running 255/35 18 ZIIs ... and 36 feels like I'm rolling on granite tires ...

The sidewall obviously is stiffer on mine compared to yours due to the lower profile, however.

I actually like the feel and performance of mine at about 32 in the front and back, which means at my NASA events (because I don't use nitrogen) I have to bleed down to about 29 after my first session so that I get up to 32 after a couple laps.

I'm toying with the idea of a pound or two more up front to begin with at Heartland Park, Topeka at the end of the month. Yet after 4 events on these tires I haven't shown any rolling over in the front. Again, my guess is the stiffer sidewall from the lower profile.

Finally got to try out the V2 RS3s for the first time this year. They don't feel any different than the old tire, which IMO is good. Temperatures at today's event were about 58 degrees. I never felt like I was lacking grip, the tires seemed to be working pretty well, despite never being more than slightly warm to the touch (but enough to reach my desired pressures - which were the same as I ran on the old version of the tire). I ended up running pretty close to my benchmark drivers (though it took me way too many runs to remember how to drive this car properly, or even turn off the TC/ASC for that matter).

Last year I ran the old RS3s in 245/40-17, this year I decided to try them in 255/40-17. Other than that, and a slightly better alignment (used ballast this time and did a better job measuring - front is now dead-on, and matched both sides, but rear camber mismatch is still 1.3 degrees, FU Subaru.)

We'll see how they do when the temps are actually warm, but so far, so good!

Hi, I'm considering these tires but would you still recommend them for street only driving?

Thanks & regards

Kind of overkill, and are terrible in the cold.

I'm from Canada so obviously would drive with winter tires, so cold is not an issue. I'm more curious about the lifespan of these tires.

For the street I really like the re11a, great grip and handle the wet. Fairly quiet compared to other similar tires.

These are backordered to infinity in the size I want... Kinda pissed. I'm going to have to go with something else for this season.
