The camshaft sensor and misfire DTC tsb looks more updated from Subaru than Toyota.

Alright, so I finally got my car to the dealership today for the appointment I scheduled. I was in there for only about a half hour before they came out and told me that the P000B should be fixed with a reflash which they did on the spot. I was only able to drive about 20 miles so far but aside from the throttle relearning the car seems okay for now.

I didn't hear or feel any mechanical issues before the fix aside from the occasional idle hunting so I don't have anything to really judge yet, but the car did not idle hunt at all on my drive home (which it would mostly seem to do only after the car was fully warmed up).

I will update if I run into anymore problems.

Edit - I posted an update in the CEL / Idle (where this post probably should have gone) but it's still a TSB issue I suppose so it's not totally out of place. Check the CEL / Idle thread (starting at post 2882) for any posts I've made about my issue.

Probably the same TSB from October 2013 I had installed the day it was released and had both Toyota and Subaru engineers inspecting my car. They also tried to use sound insulation on the pump itself. None of it worked and I got sick of wasting my time with it so I just gave up.

The crickets are going no where and do not waste your time. A company called Champion manufactures the fuel pump and until that changes, don't bother.

I accidently put 95 obtain 10 % ethanol in mine about 6 months ago here in Australia and it chirped until I put 98 octane back in the tank. This was the only time my car has chirped in 20,000 Kms.

Excuse my ignorance here. Looks like a laundry list of tsb's available. At this time I am really only interested in having those that could result in direct harm to my car done. In order for this to work I simply need to call the dealer and tell them I would like this tsb serviced? That's it? Their need not be a problem or code thrown before they take action?

I'm mostly interested in tsb s-sb-0033-13 for acvs applied.

This raises my next question. I have UEL headers and OFT tune. Would you recommend I reinstall the OEM EL headers and flash stock before service? I understand they can't deny care as nothing has been broken as a result of my mods but will they flag this in a database somewhere?

Any other tsb's to have serviced re: car safety to consider while I am there?

Thanks

Has anyone had the TSB (S-SB-0023-12-Rev2) For the Chirps completed at their dealership and actually fixed the issue permanently? If not i'm not even going to waste my time and just keep on chirpin... Thanks.

As far as I know they are on rev 3 or 4 so far and still no fix.

Figured so... Thanks @Tcoat

Hey @RustyShackleford any idle issues since having the re-flash completed? I also sometimes have issues with Idle dipping.

I actually traded my BRZ in and moved on from it, but the last week I had the car I was starting to get minor idle issues again. They weren't as bad as before the dealer flash as the car wasn't stalling and didn't have a P0017 code (just the P000B code that it's always had intermittently), but it was enough to feel it once maybe twice during my 45-60 minute drive to work.

I just got my BRZ back from the dealership after telling them about the chirping TSB and having them install a new fuel pump... I've only had it back for a day now, but the chirping is currently gone... Fingers crossed that it's gone for good, but we shall see!

Why are they even still wasting money on replacing fuel pumps?

LMAO I don't have much hope that this will last but hey, as long as angry bastards like myself keep complaining, we milk the companies for money... which -in my mind- will make them more inclined to fix the issue for good xD
