2017 Aluminum Manifold F/I

So has anyone picked one up to try? I guess the runners are slightly different so should flow better then the plastic ones. Thoughts?

I doubt it makes any difference when you are forcing air into the engine with a SC/turbo. Being metal I assume it heat soaks fairly quick

It's not going to make a cent worth of a difference. I'm putting 23psi+ into the stock plastic one (and I'm sure others are doing more) and it's holding up fine.

We have tested this, see our facebook page, should be not too far down.

It makes for more power up top, we tested it the same boost level before and after, with zero tuning changes. Likely with tuning you can open it up a bit more as well.

Very Very nice find. I have my 2017 intake already but decided to wait to install it until I have my short block and my return style fuel system installed. The Walbro 485 Fuel Pump has been fantastic and I don't wait to push the limits of the factory toilet paper rods at the cost of a cracked block.

The Manual Transmission 2017 intake should of been there since the beginning of the Subaru BRZ, I know some people love the auto's but that option should be only offered by Toyota.

Thank you Subaru for stepping up!

Found this with regard to the Crawford Power blocks wouldn't this apply also to a full aluminum manifold vs plastic? So is the gain a "dyno" only gain ie real world hood down driving would cause heat soak and higher IAT?

Kodename47 has it right on the money, except for the fact that we actually found the billet power blocks to cause a fair to large amount of heat soak. We tested an NA car with them and the car physically lost power every single pull with the blocks on. We took the blocks off, adjusted and then did repeated pulls again, in which the car was consistent in power every time. We believe this to be due to their choice in material. The factory definitely chose plastic for the intake manifold material for a good reason, and that's not limited to cost.
