Decided it's time to get one of the OEM Subaru leather e-brake/ boots!

Install was pretty easy honestly.

Also got a Raceseng Slammer. Damn it's nice

Well, I hit a big ass deer last night. Front bumper was damaged pretty bad, hood was wrinkled, passenger headlight was destroyed and passenger side fender was bent to the point I could barely open the door. I couldn't pop the hood to see if there was any engine damage, but didn't see anything wrong with my intercooler or radiator. My airbag deployed as well, as I hit the deer while going 70 mph. The car should be going to the shop Monday to see what the damages are. :/

I am glad that you are okay. But I can guess how bad it feels to see your car damaged. Hope you can fix it soon.

I almost hit a deer on the freeway several months ago. It was too late and I was too fast to stop when I saw the deer walking into the freeway. As a reflex, I steered to the left lane hoping that I could just get away. But the deer started running across the moment it noticed me. I had to steer again to the right lane in a split second to avoid hitting it. If the car wasn't FR-S, there was no way I could have done that maneuver to save it; I would have either hit the deer or rolled over.

I couldn't react in time. I literally didn't see it till it was practically in front of me. :/

Update to the Deer Incident:

Car is repairable and should have it back by December 6th. $9k+ in damages but it's all covered, thankfully. In celebration I have a lot of little improvements and additions coming. Some things being added, other's being removed, and some being replaced. Stay tuned!!!

So I'm working on installing the OEM Oil cooler, and after removing the skid plate, I notice this!

I take it, it's a head gasket leak? This wasn't hear last time I went under the engine... which was when I installed the Nameless headers about a year ago.

Damn that sucks... from what I've read on the forum your issue is not so uncommon. Fix it up right and you shouldn't have any more issues.

If this were to happen to me, I'd make the most of the unfortunate repair. I would polish every part made more accessible from the removal and re-installation... lol

While I was down there, I was half tempted to scrub off all the grime, but I feared I'd make the leak worse. I'll just have to take it to a shop as soon as I can.

It looks more like a valve or timing chain cover leaking oil. If so, it just needs to be resealed. Are you still under the 5 year/60K mile power train warranty? It should cover this type of issue.

I agree... I didn't pay enough attention to weederr33's thought that it may be a head gasket issue because I was focused on the posted pictures...so to clarify, I have read about the timing cover leaks on this forum but not head gasket ones.

I'm going to assume my warranty is blown out of the water given my boost

But if it just needs a reseal, that's good to know. The leak appears to be very small as the gunk on my underpanel looks like it built up over the past year. Though... if I can hold out, it may just give me a reason to do a full rebuild of my engine.
