The official cost for the reference upgrade used to be $399 (although previous owners apparently got coupons bringing it down to $299). It looks like they dropped the normal upgrade price to $299 now.
Of course, if you don't already have the system, you can now get the reference system flat out for $1298 (999+299) - basically a free upgrade compared to before. |

Exactly!! Thanks @nocturne1 for pointing this out. In light of the Early Black Friday Sale 10 owners can get the System 400+ at the special price. However they can still add options such as the Reference Upgrade and Color Match.
The Reference Series upgrade can added to your Cart when checking out via O+.com |

O+ Reference went into my car tonight thanks to Captain Jack's expertise. Wow doesn't express enough; it is just so clear, so just "right" sounding.. I am about to go sit in the car in the garage and listen to music. If you are pondering this system, do it, you will not regret it.

I am happy I have come across this. I love simple and PNP style add-ons. Now a days paying labor costs are well higher than the parts list. So ease of installation is paramount to getting my money these days.
With that disclaimer, what head-units work with this? I have the '13 basic stereo, but don't want that, but if I upgrade to something else my guess is the pre-made harness is now useless. So what works?

@FRSGeek, stoked to hear you found O+! We are happy to share that the OEM Audio Plus Quick Sync Harness features the same Toyota 10-Pin and 6-Pin connectors as your factory harness. Meaning really any radio will be PNP (in some cases with the appropriate Receiver Harness).
These are few of the popular upgrade options that are trending: - Scion Premium/Bespoke radio - Scion 2014 Display Radio - Fujitsu-Ten Eclipse NAV - Pioneer AVIC Series - Pioneer AVH Series - Fujitsu Ten All of the above radios are compatible and have corresponding EQs that the O+ DSP Amplifier comes preprogrammed for, taking into account the output characteristics of each unit. This allows us to guarantee our signature sound the moment you plug your O+ system in. |

Thank you for the after hours reply. You guys must be a tad serious to make your mark in this world by working at least past 6pm.. LOL!! I tease, but I am also impressed at the same time.
I will see about finding one of them radios and my dealer has monies already sitting there waiting for a radio install. So if you have dealers that can install let me know which are experienced in the Bellevue/Seattle Area. R

I don't know how to give feed back to @super_duty, so this entry is at least a start!
I bought a 2014 BeSpoke w/AHA+NAV Unit w/ GPS sensor and brackets to connect the two for my FR-S 2013 Car. I took a bit over an hour but the dealer only charged me 39 bucks for the labor. I works, it sound great compared to the basic unit from the 2013 cars. A lot more power output. I had to put it in FR-S mode, he forget that, but that is also understandable. Ron
