Thanks for the write-up!! plan on installing these today. Bilstiens have been on back order for some time now & don't know when I'll be lowering. Do these affect ride height?

Ride height won't change.

I installed these today. It makes an amazing difference!

I took the tires off and snugged up a floor jack onto the diff. All work was done from the side of the wheel well. I unbolted all of the bolts 10 turns so the subframe would come down as even as possible. Then I lowered the jack just enough to get the bushings in the rear. I then removed the drivers side rear bolt added the bushings and reinstalled the bolt. The subframe wants to drop more with the bolt out and at an angle. It just needed to be pried forward slightly to get the bolt to hand thread again. The rest were the same. Only slight tweaking was needed and all bolts were started by hand.

I was dreading doing this mod and it was done in an hour. I've had them for 2 years! I'm relieved...

lol I was skeptical, but they really do make a difference. I think I'll do the diff bushings next and work my way forward.

DIY - Whiteline Rear Crossmember Mount Insert Bushings

Just got mine on yesterday. Didn't even take the wheels off

They make such a difference! I admit to being skeptical before, but the subframe feels almost bolted to the seat! No more weirdness mid turn over a bumpy surface, less wandering at the limit, I love it!

I did notice a significant increase in tire noise. Need to make my exhaust louder now.

I followed your method, using 4 jack stands and myself. I managed to get it done in about an hour and a half. Getting the holes lined back up was rather easy, I was pretty worried about not being able to do this by myself. Along with the subframe bushings I did the differential, and the transmission. What a huge difference! The noise has increased a lot, gear noise that is(mostly first and second gear up to 2400 rpm). I think my rear toe is off now too, my rear tires are pointing inwards and this is the first time I have noticed that. Anyone else have to get an alignment after doing this modification?

No, the alignment is totally dependent on arms connected from the hubs to the subframe, not the body. You can't have messed up the geometry.

I'm glad in worked out okay for you. By inwards,do you mean the top of the tire in more inside the fender? That would be camber gained, if so. I ended up with -2

I waited a week or so and then I added camber bolts up front. I'm currently running 1.5F and 2R. I will probably increase the camber up front but want to get some more track time under my belt first.

On the street you wouldn't need to do anything really IMHO.

My rear camber is now at -2 and 1-8 in the rear after installing these bushings. The toe looks off but I didn't measure that yet. Can't believe bushings change things this much.

How do you suddenly get clearance between these two pics?

when I raise it 2" I still don't get enough clearance to place the upper bushing on top between the chassis and sub assembly. There is a gap but I cannot put my finger through/between it, let alone the bushing.

Bah, nvm. I am retarded. You lowered it, not raised it.

I'm still not getting this to work for me, its like the sub assembly is glued to the chassis or something. I lower, everything lowers. I raise, everything raises.
